Thanks to a boom in economic growth over the last decade, Boise has become a premier place to do business. Our city has an expanding job market and is developing a reputation nationally as a hub for innovation. This didn’t happen by accident; those of us on council understand the important role our city can play in recruiting employers and providing tools for small business to thrive. During my 8 years on council, I have:
- Supported local investments in incubators to assist entrepreneurs in launching high growth companies.
- Spearheaded a living wage jobs initiative.
- Supported measures to simplify code and streamline the process for starting a business.
I am running for another term because there’s still work to be done. I will continue to champion policies that reduce barriers and increase opportunities for small businesses and startups. Boise’s economic future depends on us continuing to build a city where people want to live, work, and play and where new businesses want to locate and local companies plan to stay.
