TJ Thomson for Boise City Council

Council Member TJ Thomson has served on the Boise City Council for the last 8 years, focusing his efforts on education, public transportation, and economic development. Public service has been in his blood from an early age – he went doorbelling for Congressman Richard Stallings when he was just 13, was the Boise State University Student Body President, and served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Air Force.

When he is not serving on council, TJ works at Idaho Power as a Regulatory Compliance Sr. Technical Advisor. He is a Leadership Boise alumnus, a recipient of the Boise Young Professionals “Young Leader of the Year” award, an Idaho Business Review “Accomplished Under 40” recipient, and recently was selected by the National League of Cities as one of America’s ‘Most Dedicated Local Elected Officials’. TJ and his wife Alisha have one young daughter, Sena, and 3 dogs, and are long-time West Boise residents.
